BuyHoldCollect explains how collectible toys are priced and sold, in plain language: why a figure costs what it does, whether it will come back in stock, and what the terms on listings mean. Most pages are written for collectors and buyers. Pages for people who sell collectibles are kept in their own section.
Who runs this
BuyHoldCollect is run by a collectibles reseller who has been selling since 2022, on Amazon and eBay. That's where our experience comes from: we've watched how prices, restocks and reprints actually behave from the selling side.
Because we sell collectibles, we have an interest in how their prices move. We think the honest way to handle that is to say so up front, and to tell you plainly when the right answer is to wait or to buy somewhere else.
What we won't do
Everything published on this site follows these rules:
- No income or profit claims. We don't share what we earn or our profit margins, and nothing on this site is a promise that you'll make money.
- No price predictions or "estimated values." We explain how prices tend to behave; we don't say what a specific item will be worth.
- No buy lists or leads. We won't tell you what to buy right now or where to source it.
- No supplier names. We don't name the companies we buy from.
- No hidden affiliate links. We only list tools we use ourselves, and any affiliate relationship is disclosed before the link.
- No disguised sales pitches. If we ever offer anything paid, it will be clearly labeled as paid.
How we get our information
- "In our experience" means exactly that: one reseller's observations, not official retailer or manufacturer policy.
- Outside facts, such as court rulings, tariff rules and manufacturer announcements, link to their sources, preferably primary ones.
- Every page shows when it was last updated. Pages with time-sensitive facts, like tariffs, are reviewed on a schedule and say so.
- When we publish numbers from our own sales, we'll show how many items they're based on, and note that they reflect the items we chose to buy, not a whole brand or market.

If something here is wrong or out of date, email hello@buyholdcollect.com. We'll check it, fix it if it's wrong, and update the page's date.
